EXHIBITIONS

Our Exhibitions

Australia House will bring two exhibitions to Melbourne and later tour around Victoria.

During the COVID-19 pandemic and lockdowns in 2020, Australia House produced a book of photographs. We were unable to deliver our milk or open our store, so we delivered all-over Melbourne to a variety of places and people in need and practiced for when the city re-opens.

The Exhibition entails the images of empty Melbourne and our Milk deliveries. Australia House will also hold an exhibition called ‘Portraits’, this is an Exhibition of Portraits of people cooking family recipes, sharing the recipes with a photo of the family, sharing family heritage.

Melbourne

Milk in the Melbourne Pandemic is an exhibition of photos taken during the 2 Melbourne lockdowns in 2020 and third in 2021. The photos are show a milk bottle in the empty Melbourne CBD. The photos were taken to keep my dream alive to one day deliver Milk all across Melbourne. The Exhibition will be held in The Melbourne Town Hall and Scott’s Church Hall on May 8th and 9th 2021.

The Exhibition is proudly supported by the City of Melbourne

AUSTRALIA HOUSE PORTRAITS

Australia House Portraits is an exhibition of families cooking their family recipes during the 2020 lockdown and during the return to COVID normal in 2021. The portraits are of families and individual’s sharing their family story and their food heritage.

Both Exhibitions will be held in Melbourne on May 7th, May 8th and May 9th 2021 at Scott’s Church Assemble Hall.

Who we give to and how the non-profit status works

Australia House Institution is a non-for-profit community-based organisation, specifically established to give to the Melbourne CBD Community. The Institution will create and produce exhibitions to bring awareness to the culture of agriculture that exists in the Melbourne CBD. The Institution will hold an exhibition, create books and stationery and sell all these products to continue to fund high quality community culture of agriculture programs all in the Melbourne CBD and support the Melbourne hospitality and creative industries and to tell their community stories.

Cultural Programs

Giving and sharing are two of the strong family values the Australia House Institution follows. Inspired by my mother’s life, our programs involve giving back to the community. With funds raised, we will help those in need and generate new stories with the Australian communities, not only in our large capital cities but in our small country towns.

The Australia House Institution will hold 4 to 6 Exhibitions per year, we will produce books and stationery and cultural products. The Institution will give back to community and support cultural programs, exhibitions, families and community cookbooks.
